IMMERSIVE VIDEO

Immersive videos, also known as 360º videos or spherical videos, are videos created with a camera that records in all directions at the same time. Additionally, the viewer has control of the viewing direction in real time, generating a kind of virtual reality that evolves over time.

With the introduction of this Virtual Reality technology to the popular social networks of Facebook and YouTube, a whole market has opened. Both users and brands are betting on creating immersive content so that the viewer can live a virtual experience with them.

The visualization of this type of videos requires video players that include some type of control of the viewing direction and, additionally, the viewing speed. In the case of mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones, it is the device itself as a whole, equivalently its movement, that indicates the viewing direction. In the case of computers connected to devices adapted to the movement of the head, or virtual reality headset, it is the movement of the head. In any case, the sensors that define the orientation are usually accelerometers / gyroscopes or infrared sensors incorporated in these devices. If the visualization is done on a 2D screen, the video player usually incorporates buttons to change the point of view, as is the case with YouTube, for all this, maybe you should produce immersive content for your clients and generate an exceeding experience for them.
